& i will open mine as well.
to become one with each other
we must live as if
a tragedy is happening to us.
i can blame others or i can blame myself
terrified, i can recoil from an outstretched hand
or i can take it and face my fear.
knowledge is a gift we must give ourselves
before it is too late.
i thank God for those who have come before
and told their stories, shared their lives.
openness to communication is a two-way street
we must listen for there are those willing to give
if each of us knew what was in for us
would we have the same courage, the beauty
of spirit, the strength to be vulnerable?
i hope so.
